There was something all too predictable about today’s evidence session of the Welsh Affairs Select Committee on ‘Inward Investment in Wales’ which included references to poor skills in the Welsh workforce, a bad education system, a lack of export business help for Welsh businesses and a badly thought our economic development plan from WAG.
The reason it’s so familiar is because it’s all been said before and ignored by the policymakers in Cardiff Bay. Even I had already written about what would happen to Inward investment to Wales last July in a post called ‘Scrapping IBW on a par with getting rid of the WDA’
Sadly all of this brings to my mind the phrase ‘the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results’ - when will we in Wales ever learn.
